Hathab is a village located in the Bhavnagar district in the western part of the Indian state of Gujarat. Situated approximately 30 kilometers away from Bhavnagar, this village lies near the banks of a river, offering a serene spot for visitors.

Excavation activities have been conducted in Hathab by Indian archaeologists, revealing remnants of ancient human civilization, making it a potential site for uncovering cultural heritage. In 1985, with the assistance of the Gujarat Forest Department, the Hathab Beach Center was established by Deepakbhai P. Mehta, the then-District Forest Officer. Alongside traditional houses in the vicinity of Hathab Bungalow, there is a community school.

During the era of the Bhavnagar princely state, around two kilometers from Hathab village, on the sandy banks of a beautiful river, a bungalow was constructed known as the Hathab Bungalow. This bungalow still stands as a landmark amidst the jungle territories, now enclosed by forest reserves. Subsequently, on August 15, 2014, the surrounding land of this bungalow was developed into a comprehensive eco-tourism site, known as Hathab Bungalow Eco-tourism Complex, equipped with facilities for accommodation and recreational activities for travelers and visitors alike.
